Christmas is celebrated to mark the birth of Jesus Christ, the founder of Christianity. Though it is a Christian or a Catholic festival, it is celebrated by people of all religions around the world. It is believed that Jesus was born in Bethlehem (Palestinian city located in the central West Bank) around 2,000 years ago to parents Mary and Joseph. He is believed to be the son of God and Savior of the world.
